My Story

Where forgotten treasures find new life

Welcome to Forgotten Stitches.
I'm passionate about creating beautiful handmade dolls and keepsakes inspired by the elegance, craftsmanship and beauty of bygone eras.

What began as a love of sewing and vintage design has grown into a small creative studio dedicated to celebrating traditional craftsmanship.
Inspired by Victorian and early twentieth-century fashion and textiles, I create pieces that capture the beauty and nostalgia of the past.
Each doll is carefully handcrafted using vintage and recycled fabrics, delicate trims and pre-loved treasures. No two creations are ever exactly alike, giving every piece its own unique personality and charm.

My name is Rebekah, and I have been sewing all my life. What started as a hobby has now become so much more.
A place of purpose and a sense of being.
Forgotten Stitches began in South East London 20 years ago, but now resides in my little studio on the beautiful Isle of Bute, Scotland.

I believe handmade pieces carry something special that mass-produced products never can. They hold time, care, creativity and a little piece of me. I hope that every doll leaves my studio ready to become part of someone else's story—displayed with pride, gifted with love or passed down through generations.
Thank you for visiting Forgotten Stitches and for supporting independent handmade craftsmanship. It truly means the world to me.

With love,
Rebekah
